We seek programming! We are a syndicator of programs related to history and the paranormal and we are looking for more shows! On The Ghost Channel, we find that the most interesting shows are original productions by independent filmmakers and small production companies- a growing trend in the broadcast industry.
As a syndicator, we acquire the rights for the presentation of programming. Like network programming, it can be first-run or shows that have aired previously on another network. Syndication is a huge programming enterprise, and because we offer programs via the Internet, our potential reach is comparable to ABC, CBS, and NBC combined. Viewers have accepted the Internet as a viable medium for entertainment, and more and more people search for shows they can watch anytime, anywhere.
How does it work? Our shows are sold as podcasts and vodcasts (audio and video downloads) that can be viewed on ipods, computers, and even televisions.
Unlike television syndication on other channels, we do not pay a flat fee for the rights to a show, and we do not ask for exclusive rights. Our affiliates receive revenue as a straight percentage of the cost paid per download minus PayPal’s small transaction fee. There is no cost outlay as with CDs and DVDs, and we are your marketing engine.
We do the advertising, sales, payment processing, and we also house the technical infrastructure critical to podcast sales. Audiences will be able to see promos of shows on youtube, itunes, bebo, and current TV, among other media outlets. Our strategic marketing enables producers to do what they do best- make great shows. We do the rest.
**We can also sell your CDs or DVDs. We handle the marketing and payment processing, and you handle the fulfillment.
How do I get started?Just email email@example.com or call 1-866-297-0742. We will review your program to ensure it is historical or paranormal in nature and meets our criteria. Then, one of our producers will contact you with a contract and what we need in terms of graphics, file formats, etc. It’s that simple!
